With the holiday weekend I had not been around to say anything on this but I can't let Gregg Allman's passing go without acknowledgement. RIP

IMO, one of the best "Southern Rock" songwriters of my time...RIP, Greg.

A good friend of mine used to play bass with Gregg Allman, among other music legends, after his brother died. Greg saw him at a frat party at the U of F and asked if he wanted to come on the road. He quit school and never looked back.

It's actually kind of funny how we met. I knew him from soccer for a while before I found out. I knew he had money but the fact he was a professional musician never entered my mind.

Nothing better than Southern Rock in my opinion. Jacksonville put out the two best groups ever in Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Allmans.  RIP Greg!

Getting offended by something you see on the internet is like choosing to step in dog shite instead of walking around it.
