After year two you are going to be eating crow on that Hoodie. Year one was Sparano's only winning season in the NFL.

FWIW, Sparano also inherited a MUCH worse team than Gase.

FWIW, Brady played against Gase's team first year and not against Sparano's first year.

That's a one game difference, as MIA went 1-1 against NE in 2008 and 0-2 in 2016.  Coincidentally, MIA's record was 1 game better in 2008 than in 2016.

Of course, we could also point out that the Jets were much better in 2008 than in 2016.  But then we get into the whole SoS thing.

Yeah, that's why I also added a FWIW...not really worth getting into it too much.

I disagree. They lost many games by about 3 points or less and then kind of quit playing at the end of the season. They weren't a terrible team ... just didn't know how to win.

Eating crow on too early to judge?  Dolphins win Super Bowl and I will stand by to early to judge.  Dolphins earn the first overall pick and I will stand by to early to judge.

Gase may have a better second year than Saprono.  But no matter what sapronos year 1 will always be more impressive than gases year 1

They came one blown coverage in OT from being the first 0-16 team in NFL history.  Can you even say with conviction that they were the best 1-15 team ever?   Or that they weren't the worst team in the league in 2007?

The 2015 Dolphins made have been bad, but they were certainly far from the worst team in the league.

I admit Johnson found some diamonds in the rough, but those later round picks are dumb luck as they can go either way and happened to work out.
When you add in JJ's body of work in Dallas, you have to admit that JJ was a really good talent evaluator. I'm not going to name names because there would be too many and I would absolutely miss several but he built the Cowboys that won 3 superbowls with his picks and trades.
