Bucs just shut down Winston for a few weeks, so when Miami plays the Bucs in 2 weeks they catch a  break there.  I mean Josh McCown beat the Fins earlier this year so it may not matter, but it is an easier match-up with Fitzpatrick so.

Fitz has been a starter in the league. It isn't like the guy has no experience and is an undrafted rookie coming from the practice squad.

He's old and can't move anymore. That's the overall point

With the weapons the Bucs have on offense, a decent QB would have a good game.  The problem with the Bucs is the same as the Dolphins.... no O-Line.  The Bucs pass rush is way worse

What games have you watched? Miami's linebackers have been playing outstanding this year and the run defense is great as they swarm all over the field. Aside from Cook this past week no tight end has really gone off on them either in the passing game. Try watching some games son

The Dolphins pass D is ranked 23rd against tight ends allowing an average of about 9 passes for around 61 yards per game. Probably not statistically significantly different from league average, but not exactly great either. It just feels that way because we've sucked so much against tight ends over the past half a decade or whatever.

Bigger point I was making is if you actually watch the games each week and think the linebackers overall are the problem with this team you don't know what in the hell you are watching. The linebacker play has been very good this year against the run and the pass.

Have we covered a receiving tight end all year? Seems like that's still a huge vulnerability to our defense.

I try to watch all of the games but it's a little hard. Typically I watch and then turn away when something really disgusting happens. Other times I just put my hands up over my face and look between my fingers so as to try not to view the whole carnage at one time. Neither technique works all that well. What technique do you use, sounds like your system works better than mine. Smiley Evil

Not really. Here's some stats. Miami has actually done alright in avg yards per reception and in giving up TD's, but when it comes to just giving up receptions to TE's they are well above the avg of the rest of the NFL against these guys. Course these aren't exactly the cream of the crop TE's in the league either. Upcoming TE's that play the Dolphins? Just Travis Kelce, Rob Gronkowski and Charles Clay. I'm sure they won't do any better then these guys.
