1) First time I can ever remember a game log in which NOBODY complained about a "bad" call.

2) One play can really swing a game.  You can't dismiss that Cutler interception because the defense shit the bed in the second half.

3) Gase has what Philbin lacks: Common sense.  I fully support that decision to try to put points on the board before halftime.  You are facing a high powered offense and points will be at a premium.  Just no need for Cutler to try to force the ball in there like that.  It was almost, but no quite, as bad as the Drake fumble last week against Oakland.  Also going for it on that fourth down and 1.  Philbin probably would have punted there.

4) What hurts the offense:  Lack of a downfield threat.  You must have seen the graphic on the screen about Landry and how far from the line scrimmage he is when he catches the ball.  If you want to have a competitive offense, you need to be able to make throws down the field for big gains.  You can't run and short pass your way downfield every possession.

5) And amazingly, after this horrible stretch, Miami remains very much in the playoff race.  If you don't believe me, look at the standings.   Time for this team to focus on defeating Tampa Bay and getting some momentum for the key games against Buffalo.  They shocked us last year, and they can do it again.
