Schefter is reporting...

http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/22705144/cleveland-browns-trading-two-draft-picks-miami-dolphins-wide-receiver-jarvis-landry

I am sick and tired of the Dolphins giving away talent for nothing.  Ajayi was the latest example until now.  There had best be a #1 draft pick included in this deal or it'll just be another in a long line of Dolphins garbage transactions to make fans mad.

I'd take a 1 this year and a 1 next year.

Let's not jump to conclusions until the official report is out.

This had to happen, so I'm glad we got some stuff for it.  I think Suh is probably next.

Adam Sheffer is reporting that neither pick is a 1st or 2nd round.

It will be between rounds 3 and 7 being reported...

I hate this trade, but At least we didn't trade him to the Ravens,or another "good team".I was sort of hoping the Bears would step (the other team I tend to watch the most, because of Family (Trubisky to Landry would have been fun!),and Happy we didn't trade him the the Chiefs, where I'd have to completely hate him!  Cheesy

Hold the phone, don't the Dolphins have to approve any trade? I find it unlikely that Miami takes a 3rd round pick for Landry especially when it was just reported that Landry was gonna sign his tender which would have meant 2 number 1's to sign him. Something isn't right here. Either Miami is getting a whole lot more than a 3rd rounder for Landry or they aren't trading him. I'm not buying these reports.

Landry was an Non-exclusive Franchise tag, meaning he was free to find a contract, the Dolphins don't match we'd get 1st rounders....We're trading him....

— A nonexclusive franchise tag involves the same salary offer as an exclusive franchise tag, only the player can negotiate with other teams. The player’s current team can match any offer sheet. If the old team declines to match the offer, it gets two first-round picks from the other team as compensation. This is the more commonly used franchise tag.

From old Washington post article
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/early-lead/wp/2016/02/15/nfl-franchise-tag-rules-and-the-top-candidates-to-be-tagged-in-2016/?utm_term=.0d4b5b85193a

Technically, there is rule against franchising a player with the intent to trade him.Though I've not seen it enforced (I have no clue if it has...)

Reports say that the Dolphins are receiving a pick this year and next year (not in the 1st 2 rounds) from Cleveland.  Looks like this year's pick won't be a third rounder since cbssports.com just reported the Browns just traded their 3rd round pick to the Bills for Tyrod Taylor.

Fleeced by the Browns -- a new low for the idiots running this team.

I think it's a fourth rounder this year and a seventh next year.

Not much.

Basically, the Dolphins traded Jarvis Landry and Jay Ajayi for.....

Robert Quinn, a fourth in 2018, and a seventh in 2019.

Shrewd......

Not much.

NFL.com just confirmed what you said.  4th rounder this year and 7th rounder next year.  I guarantee everyone that neither pick will be on the Dolphins at the start of the 2019 season.

Just unbelievable.  Somehow the Bills got more for a QB that was benched last season and wasn't in their plans than the Dolphins got for Landry.  Our front office is now the worst in the league.
