We see deer, alligators, bear, raccoons, squirrels, otters, snakes of all kinds, hawks and even had a bald eagle flying in front of the wife and I last week as we were out on our bikes. It was really cool as he was flying the same direction in front of us for about 10 seconds and then he swooped up into the trees.

It's kind of funny. Some of the multi million dollar neighborhoods are built in a preserve so it's not uncommon to have deer walk down the road in the middle of the day and refusing to move. They are protected in there so they have no fear of humans.

As well ... we have a friend who raises deer and even has a bobcat. Pretty cool.

We have two golden retrievers, two cats and two giant Flemish rabbits that roam our house. Some days it seems like a zoo.

Besides coyotes, deer, weasels, woodchucks, Fisher cats, hawks, skunks, beavers, possums, and the occasional bald eagle, a bobcat was spotted on my street yesterday. Interestingly, I haven’t seen a raccoon since I left the city. I miss them.
