The old saying about the most popular player on a team being the backup QB apparently still rings true.  Brock is a serviceable backup. Nothing more.

You all are missing an opportunity.  Tampa had Fitzmagic, now we have it (Minkah) plus a Brock Lobster... BROCK LOBSTAH!  Jump on the hype train.

If you are going to call something an "Era" doesn't it have to at least last several years?  If there is even the slightest chance of Brock being the Dolphins QB for even a single year I'm becoming a Browns Fan.

Tannehill highly unlikely to play against Lions.  We then go to play the Texans Thursday so if we see Tannehill again, it won't be until after the bye week.

If Brock Lobster goes 3-0 and looks good doing it, then do you make him the starter?

I might dive into this more with some research on ESPN, but would like to know Osweiler's stats/W&L record after he performs well in a game

His career is polarizing, at least on the surface, but he does possess several qualities in a QB, big guy (can't coach height), reads defenses well, decent mobility.  Only thing that was really noticeable on Sunday was his arm strength and he does have brain farts at times, like the nearly pick-6.  Who here, screamed "don't throw that pass!" when he threw that one out to the sideline?

So I looked up info about Tannehill's current injury, and if it is so bad that he can't suit up for this game (and maybe the next) his career with the Dolphins is over after this season.  You just can't have an average QB on the roster that constantly misses games.  Looking at his contract for next year, he is due to get paid $18,750,000.00 dollars next year, with a cap hit of $26.6 MILLION dollars.  The Dolphins just can't tie up that much money on a questionable player, with repeated missed games over three consecutive season.  If they cut him next year the dead cap money is $13.4 Million against the cap, verus the $26.6M if they keep him. (Heck, Tom Brady who is working on a two year extension for this year and next year is only making $20M this year, and $15M next year.).

So, I guess maybe it is the Brock Era, well at least for this year and until they can get next years' drafted QB ready to start.

If Lobster man can keep this up, I'm fine with them ditching Tannehill, keep Brock, draft a QB and have him wait with a clipboard until it's his time.
