I just saw this. Crazy to think what he turned into. If Miami drafted him today many fans would throw up.

From 1967 to 2000 we had two great QBs. That's over 30 years of greatness.  The QB position is such a crap shoot we may never get a game changer again.

That is a crazy stat.  I found it hard to believe so I looked it up and you were right on the money.  He threw 23 INTs in his Junior season too.  I agree with you about drafting QBs being a crapshoot.  NFL history is littered with first round failures at QB.  I'm assuming because the QB position requires so many intangibles and non measurables.

Look at Brady when he came out...flabby, didn't look in shape, looked soft.  Plus he only had 16 TDs and 6 INTs his senior year, which isn't bad, but isn't elite numbers either.

Being drafted at #27 is not quite the same level of overlooked as being drafted 199.  And of the five taken before him only one wasn’t franchise QB material and two were also HOFers.

How many "franchise caliber QBs" never make a Pro Bowl and start at least 11 games in a season only twice in their career?

If Eason is "franchise caliber" just because he made it to one Super Bowl, then every QB to ever play in a SB is also a franchise caliber QB.

You're being unfair.

Nick Foles has made a Pro Bowl.
