"Coach Gase, why didn't Miami's offense get the success you'd hoped for?"

"Coach Gase, why did you accept a job where you wouldn't have control over the roster, unlike in Miami where you had total control?"

Holy clickbait, Batman!

There were no shocking answers. Gase answered the questions the same way he did when he was in Miami, something I have to say I admire. I really hate it when people (players, coaches, coworkers, whatever) go somewhere else and suddenly start trashing their old job, throwing everyone under the bus.

With regards to roster control, it was reported previously that Gase didn't exercise that "right" in Miami anyway, so it isn't really surprising that it wasn't a big deal with him in New York. (Not that he could have answered the question any other way... he's not exactly going to say, "yeah, that sucks, would really have liked to have more control, but I just didn't have the leverage with the organization.")

The only shocking thing about the presser was Gase's eyes.

(EDIT: I hadn't noticed Tenshot's pics in the other thread, but they really nail it.)

I gotta believe that he was on some meds there. Might just be cold medicine, but he was definately on something.
