Saints now interested in Quinn.  Bidding war!

The Saints have even less cap space than the Cowboys and they are totally in it for 2019. I don't think their future is bright after this season with cap space and draft picks and all that.

We can pay a huge chunk of Quinn's salary for a better draft pick. Hell, announce to the league we will eat 75% of it and maybe we can get multiple picks.

I'm loving how Grier is doing things so far...this all makes sense.

A lot of the cap space and shell games with money goes over my head but I tend to agree with you.

Some potential bargain free agents with upside.

"A 2020 4th is the current asking price for #Dolphins DE Robert Quinn, per source."

Stock up those draft picks.

I'm greedy and want a 3rd rounder for him, but I don't know what we are willing to eat for the 4th and who is involved. At the end of the day, if we get a 4th rounder for a guy we were going to cut, then good for us. We need bodies everywhere and can use these picks as capital to move up.

Side Note - When talking about what round pick you will receive it's important to look at what team is giving the pick.  For instance if a 4th round pick is coming from Arizona, then it's almost like a late 3rd round pick; but if it's coming from N.E., then it's almost like getting a 5th round pick.  And more confusing is if you're trading to an upper middle team and that team is on the verge of greatly improving from a middle round pick.  Oakland made big trades to Chicago and Dallas for picks last year, then both teams greatly improved partially because of those trades, so their value went down by the end of the season.

That is easier to know for the 2019 draft than the 2020.  This time last year I expected the 49rs would be picking in the 20s.

We just signed this DT from Brazil.  He's a big boy and a bit of an athletic freak.

6'4" 325 lbs
5.00 40yrd dash
7.09 3 cone drill, best since 1995 Fletcher Cox

Got that from the comments in the link so take it for what it's worth

Dolphins sign 7 players from the AAF, notably the AAF sack leader Jayrone Elliott.  Between him or Neto, we might have our next Cam Wake (unknown player turning into a star). /s  Tongue

We have so many open spots, half our team will be AAF players and undrafted signings. Totally fine with that, some of these guys are bound to be diamonds in the rough and we can get them for cheap and they can contribute in 2020 when we give a shit.

I'm probably overly excited about Neto.  If there is a position that correlates almost exclusively with physical ability, it's defensive tackle.  He's too big, strong and agile not to be a contributor, plus he seems to have a high motor.
