I cannot emphasize how much I hate this decision.

For a team that is supposed to be rebuilding and getting players to buy into a team-first mentaility, we pick up an ordinary QB who is a total FIGJAM to boot.

I never have rated Fitztragic - how the hell can you take a player seriously who throws six picks in a game? He may fluke the odd win (which if we are really planning on tanking next year we don't need), but add in his me-first mentality and he is the last guy we need to lead the team at this stage.

^Right now, Fitz is a better QB than Tannehill

A lot of talk has gone on about drafting Will Grier in the 3rd this year and having him start later in the season behind Fitz. I don't think anyone would mind him backing up Tua Tagovailoa down the road.

I'm all about a developmental mid round QB, no harm no foul if he doesn't pan out.  There are talks he may go sooner than 3rd round though.

I don't want to waste a 3rd rounder on a project. We need talent all over the field, aside from the first 2 rounds where we really need to go O-line or D-Line, take the best available player when it's time to select.

There are plenty of proto size QBs late in the draft.  Check out this list.

From everything I have read he is a great teammate. Inconsistent QB, but a team player that gets along with everyone.
