^^^ Okay you made me look up the New York Bucks, I thought maybe it was a typo.  As a New Yorker I'm surprised I've never heard of this league, although they do play quite a bit north of me.

top salary for tier 1 QB is $250,000 per year.  Which is half the NFL minimum.  That is like turning down a contract with the New York Yankees to play for the New York Bucks.

How do you know what the top salary is gonna be?   This isn't the AAF.   Vince McMahon has the money and connections to keep this rolling and can pay whatever he wants.

It was announced. Only an idiot would pick the XFL if he has a shot in the NFL.

That's bullshit.

Nobody is rich enough to support an entire league out of pocket.

Do you realize how much of a profit Titansports Entertainment (parent company of the WWE) makes?

Yes McMahon could theoretically afford to pay outrageous salaries out of pocket.

However,

The XFL has publicly announced the salary ranges and the absolute top salary is half the league minimum.

billionaires don't become and stay rich by giving away money .. it's much more likely for mcmahon to lowball the players, not give them proper health insurance, treat them as sub-contractors and not employees, then claim a loss and take government money back.

Not to mention the XFL is not the WWE or Titan. If money is being funneled from one to another it is owed money back, not free money.
