We have holes everywhere, but is there a position or a guy you really don't want us to select on Thursday? For me, only one position and that's QB. This is not the year for us to draft a franchise QB, almost every other position I am fine with.

IMO none of the long snapper, kickers or punters in this draft are worth a first round pick.  But I could be wrong.

If the Dolphins draft a QB this year I'm going to scream.

arizona drafts murray and then they trade us josh rosen for a 3rd .. so in essence we're drafting josh rosen with a 3rd round pick

for our first round pick i don't want a skill position in the first round .. i want a lineman on either side

AZ would be insane to take anything less than a mid round 2nd. If the best offer is a 3rd keep him as a backup.

Agreed. The kid had no chance this year with Arizona's horrible team and coaching. His career isn't over.

Arizona may not draft Murray after all.

More chatter on Rosen and how we have done the most work on him. I think if we offer Arizona our 2nd rounder, we can get him.

Of course, he started last year so he can't hold a clipboard this year, meaning Fitzpatrick is now a backup. It all seems unlikely to happen but once they draft Murray then I think a bunch of phone calls will happen.

The only non lineman, or pass rusher I'd be ok with drafting first would be D.K. Metcalf.

^Yeah, Sunstroke changed my mind on him.  He's too much of a physical freak to not be a little excited.

I don't want to essentially draft Rose either. The Dolphins have their QB for this year. Dolphins have bigger fish to fry.

Depends on who else wants him.  I can see them getting high as late in the first round.  Two landing spots that might offer more than Dolphins would be NE 32 or NYG 37.

I can see the Giants doing it with the 37th pick because it allows them to keep their two 1st rounders but the Pats will probably just draft some 2nd or 3rd round project and see how that works out. Not like the kid will play before 2021 anyway.

If they draft Murray with the #1 pick it's over with AZ.

I saw the Mel Kiper Jr and Todd McShay mock draft on ESPN and they had the Dolphins taking Drew Lock. I'm actually on board with taking either Haskins or Lock with the number 13 pick in the draft. I won't be disappointed if they don't, but I'm ok with it as well as I think waiting another year for a QB to fall into their lap is risky. I'd even be ok with taking a QB this year, finding out he's not a franchise QB and picking another next year. It would not be ideal, but however you have to do it to end up with a QB that you are going to stick with for a decade, do it. That's the only way I think you are going to turn this franchise around at this point. The front office has not shown me they can compete without a top 5 or top 10 QB no matter who else is on the field. Hell they haven't even really shown they can compete with a top 5 QB in the last 30 years.
