Rushing Yards per game: 2.4
Arrests per off season: 3.0

Solid signing. 😂

I think he's gone off the deep end since he lost a loved one

No, Patriots sign good players with off field issues.  Not players that are horrible on the field.  Even without the arrests, 2.4 yards per game isn’t worth a roster spot.

What makes you think he'll get a roster spot?

Miami is probably the absolute worst team for him.  It is where he got arrested and his bad influence friends are.  He would have a better shot of making it in a quiet city like Buffalo or Green Bay.

Actually, Hoodie has a point.   For some college kids, they need to get as far away from their bad friends and bad influences as they can.

I would be surprised if he makes the team, but I agree that it is kind of a weird signing.  The other one that confused me was when they signed the Hurricanes QB Rosier.  Dude couldn't even keep a starting job at the college level.  I'm assuming maybe they sign former Hurricanes as kind of a gentlemen's agreement to support the local college team with recruiting or something.  "We have had X Number of our athletes sign with NFL teams, so you should come here to get your best shot at getting in the NFL."

They didn’t sign the QB.  My take on that is they needed a QB for the weekend on short notice so they called a guy that wouldn’t require an airplane ticket.

Ah, okay.  I stand corrected.  I was under the impression that they had actually signed him.  Your explanation makes perfect sense.
