He passed away yesterday at 85.

I remember him at home waving to the camera during the intro to Super Bowl 50.

According the crawl, he won five league championships, including the first two Super Bowls.

If, so why was he never mentioned in the discussion of the greatest?

RIP.  He certainly was one of the building blocks that has made the league what it is today.

He was the first Starr the NFL has.  Tyler was the second.

I only got to see him towards the end of his career, but the guy was definitely one of the legendary Packers.
