They need to start celebrating the same way that Brandy Chastain did.  Well, some of them need to start celebrating that way.  Not all of them.

This year the sports bra became part of the US Womens team uniform. Just so you know. Smiley

That level of celebration should be reserved for the final whistle upon winning the cup...rendering a yellow flag a non-issue.

And the rule existed before Brandi, to stop men from removing their shirts after every goal.   Like in baseball, don’t flip your bat at every hit.  But if you hit the walk off home run to win the world series - go for it.

There are a couple of them whose spots I would like to clinch.  Giggity.

My nine year old niece is in a summer soccer camp.   As part of camp, her and her little friends got to watch this game.   I called her to wish her a happy birthday right when they scored their second goal.   Ahhhhhh, the sound of screaming preteen girls going "Ole, Ole, Ole, Ole"

In all honesty though ... they could have shown a bit of humility and kept the celebrating to a minimum. Team is led by Alex Morgan who can have the attitude you need to just be glad I'm here although since she got into trouble at Epcot I hear she is treating people much better. I don't think Michelle Akers or Mia Hamm would have been so in your face ... but who knows.

I assume you disapprove of her drinking tea.

Awesome win.  Just need one more.

Not at all. It's like celebrating after a touchdown. The funny part, which she has brought up, is the men do all kinds of celebrations including grabbing their crotch. Not sure why the women get picked on for celebrating.

YOU were one of the ones criticizing their celebrations during the Thai game.

If the game is competitive ... I have no issue. If you are beating the pants of them and celebrating like you just won the World cup I do have issue. No problem running up the score but at some point the excessive celebrating is just bullying the other team. If our men could do that too ..... hahahaha ... I'd still feel the same way about them.

They weren't celebrating like they just won the world cup they were celebrating like they just scored a goal in the world cup. Most people never get close to realizing what that feels like so maybe they shouldn't judge. Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Agree.  You don’t want the team to spike the ball in the end zone, don’t let them get to the end zone.

Hope neither Kelley O’Hara nor  Lieke Martens have any long term issues because of the match.
