Flores announced it today that barring injury, Rosen is the man for the rest of the season. Pretty much a no brainer, they have to see if the kid can pull off a miracle and put up good numbers before the draft.

barring injury,

With that O-line, he won’t finish the season.

We should be able to keep sacks and hits on the quarterback at manageable numbers. Sure, the line is worse than in previous years, but the pressure to win games isn't the same. That allows us to stay in max protect when we previously would have gambled (with our qb) and gone with blue receivers.

With all the QB injuries through the NFL this season, if another starting QB somewhere goes down maybe the Fins can dump Fitzy on them for a 4th or 5th round draft pick.  Since they are looking to dump salary and stockpile as many draft picks as possible anyway.  As someone else already mentioned, this O-Line will probably get Rosen hurt but it isn't like the team is winning anyway, so who cares if they have a decent backup to Rosen for the rest of the year.

This seems like the players wanted this after almost tasting victory last week. Front offices tank, players don't.

Exactly.  The Fins players are playing this year in hopes of being employed in the NFL next year.  Whether with the Dolphins or someone else.  No player is going to intentionally play poorly in order to "be a company man" at the risk of ending up working at UPS next year instead of being on an NFL roster.

According to Kim Bokamper and Joe Rose ... the change has more to do with the injury to center Daniel Kilgore. Without him there to make the calls for the o-line it falls to Fitzpatrick to pick up the slack. I guess Rosen still isn't quite up to snuff with that kind of thing.

That actually makes a lot of sense then. Not only because Fitz is more experienced, but he can also get crushed with sacks instead of Rosen.

Probably looking at a 30 point loss to what will be one of the worst 5-1 teams in NFL history. This league has so many godawful teams that Buffalo is vying for the #1 seed.

Rookie this would be understandable.  Second year player shouldn't need the center to read the defense for him.  And he wasn't exactly playing lights out before Kilgore got injured.

Agreed. To be fair, his development has been botched more than Tannehill, but he shouldn't need a bad center to tell him. Unless his final 8 games are 300+ yard passing games, he just isn't the guy. He can be the starter next year if we draft Tua and will probably do much better, but he doesn't seem like the franchise QB.
