My wild prediction: Miami wins.  Ends the season missing the 6th seed by two games and the 15th  pick.

Mass hysteria ensues, both from those who supported the tank (how the did we fuck up losing on purpose?) and those who didn’t (why did we trade away the good players, we had an actual shot this year?)

So in other words just another typical year for bi-polar Dolphins Fans.  But you did leave out the rumor that Tom Brady retires at the end of this season.  lol

He is playing next year....might not be for NE, but he is playing.  I think Tom wants to prove he can win a SB w/o BB and BB wants to win one without TB.  Be awesome if they met in Tampa Bay to find out.

I think he still wants to have a perfect season.  Now that he can't have one this year, he will definitely be back.

I don't want him to retire.  If he does, nobody will take Miami seriously anymore.

If he does retire the Patriots WILL become my second favorite team.  Then again, maybe their opponents won't mess up as much when Brady retires.

BB has COST Brady several Super Bowls with his insanely idiotic decision-making.

The Dolphins had been undefeated since acquiring Talib.

Looks like that streak will end today against Buffalo

Now 16-7

Was that the right decision to go for the extra point there?

Part 1 of Tank for Tua went well this weekend Dolphins lost.  But Tua had serious injury.

Not anymore. It seem more like Tua tanked in order to not have to come to Miami, haha.

I didn't realize Tua had one more year of college eligibility.  He can still come back and play for Alabama again next season.

D4L's statement of "BB has COST Brady several Super Bowls with his insanely idiotic decision-making" may have some truth to it, however.  I wouldn't go so far to say idiotic.  Clearly the largest one was the Butler benching and then not making the in-game adjustment when Foles was ripping his secondary apart and Butler was needed.  2009 was the much debated 4th and one call against Indy in the regular season (this was when I still covered the team); the Pats were leading in this game (beating an undefeated Colts team at the time) with just over 2:00 to play.  This was the difference between a first round bye or hosting a wild card game (10-6 or 11-5); they hosted the Ravens who came into New England and crushed then.

Both of the Giants SB losses featured highly favored Patriot teams against a Giant squad who caught fire later in the season - and a Patriots team who, despite being known for the ability to make in game adjustments, was never able to account for the defensive rush.  The first of the two was massively egregious.  The 2007 season (Jan 2008 SB) the Patriots went into the SB unbeaten, 1st in the league in scoring, 4th in the league in points against.  They were ridiculous.  The Giants came in literal mid-pack; 14th points for and 17th points against.  This was not a juggernaut of a team but they managed to hold New England, the greatest QB alive and the genius coach, to 14 points in the Super Bowl.  There were a lot of questionable decisions made in that game.

You can't take away without giving.  New England didn't come back and beat Seattle and Atlanta by mistake, the Hoodie had a lot to do with those two wins.

The other teams show up to play, too.  I think New England's win-loss total in the Super Bowl is right about where it should be; maybe absent the Philly game.  We will never know the real reasons for the Butler thing (or if that one decision would have made a huge difference).

Maine, here's what I mean

2006 AFC Championship vs Indy (Granted, the refs are the main reason the Colts won, but let's set that aside for a moment)

It's 34-31 Patriots, the Colts have it first and ten at the 12.  Instead of calling timeouts and saving time, Bill doesn't.  The Colts score with one minute left, rather than one minute forty.  The Patriots would have had an excellent chance of coming back to score the winning touchdown with those extra seconds.

2007 Super Bowl vs NYG

It's fourth and long at the Giants thirty midway through the third quarter.  The obvious decision would be a field goal, but he goes for it, fails, and the Patriots lose by three.

2015: AFC title game against Denver.

Twice failed to kick field goals, which cost NE that game

2017: Super Bowl vs Philly
