Saying that BB cost Brady super bowls is moronic.  Are there plays and decisions that BB would want back?  Sure.  But BB also put Brady in position to win 6 of them.  Keep in mind. without BB, Brady likely never get an opportunity at all. BB is the only one in the Patriots organization who wanted to draft Brady (and given the fact he was still available at the end of the 6, the only person in the NFL) It was because of BB the patriots kept 4 QBs.  Without BB, Brady is drafted in the 7th or is an UDFA who never gets a real opportunity to become the starter.

As for Butler, the mentality that benches Butler is the discipline that is required to have success getting productivity from Randy Moss, Ocho, Mevis, etc.

Belichick almost singlehandedly determined the SB last year and Brady did virtually nothing.  Furthermore, that loss to IND in 2009 was functionally irrelevant, given that:

1) SD finished 13-3, so NE getting 11 wins makes no difference in seeding.
2) even if NE were the #2 seed, BAL beat NE at Gillette, so I don't see how it matters if they lost that game in the Wild Card round or the divisional round.  And even if NE didn't draw BAL, the other Wild Card was... NYJ, who kindly escorted NE from the playoffs in Foxborough the following year.

What mentality is that? I'm a bit confused.  There is no reason not to have your best player in the game.

Even in the Atlanta Super Bowl, that onside kick decision was stupid.  Luckily the Falcons decided to be stupider

That fourth and two decision WAS THE RIGHT DECISION.  Even they had punted, the Colts would likely have scored anyway.

I would also argue the first SB victory was all game plan.  The Rams never knew what hit them.

I've said for years, I will continue to say - put BB and his entire coaching staff in Miami, with this roster.  Give them five years.  I'll finally get a championship hat.

^^^^^^^^

IDK, Maine.

A lot that would depend on if teams keep messing against BB when he is with Miami as they do now when they play him in New England.

Had I known what the next 11 years would be like, I might have bought a "Division Champions" hat in 2008.  LOL

I proudly wore my 1985 AFC championship sweatshirt until it was so faded you could barely read the writing.  (Actually I think my mom promised me a 2001 sb sweatshirt if I would stop wearing such a grungy sweatshirt in public)

I still wear my "Almost there..." TDMMC shirt.

That is about as close as it get around these parts.

Yes, at one time we did TDMMC shirts (two, if I remember correctly).

I completely wore one out and the teal one is on it's last leg.
