Just trade Deandre Hopkins and a 4th rounder to the Cardinals for RB David Johnson and a 2nd rounder.

Unbelievable. The man is an imbecile but that works out great for us as he is turning the Texans into a 6 win team. He traded away Clowney and Hopkins and did not even receive a 1st round pick.

Texans seemed to have given that one away. I have to wonder what they know.

Rumors are just like Clowney, Hopkins did not like O'Brien so Bill wants to assert his authority and trade him away. He is killing that franchise.

WalterFootball.com does a discussion and grading of every trade and free agent signing.  He does the typical grading system for the absolute worst rating he can give for a trade, he gives the trade a grade of "O'Brien".    Two of my best friends are big Texans fans and they are truly baffled by how he is held in such high regard by ownership.

What do the following players all have in common?

Jay Cutler
Brandon Marshall
Quandre Diggs
Darius Slay
Laremy Tunsil
Minkah Fitzpatrick
Jadaveon Clowney
DeAndre Hopkins

Belichick's assistants consistently believe the way to "improve" is to get rid of your best players.

Some owners are good people but just hire the wrong people, whether it be because they don't care about the team or they like someone personally and they think that's enough. O'Brien has to fall into one of those categories because as GM, he is an abomination. The only contender he is building is in Miami with what he gave us for Tunsil and Stills.

Bill O'Brien just traded their 2020 2nd rounder for Brandin Cooks and the Rams 4th rounder in 2022.

They are now paying Cooks and Randall Cobb $39 Million over the next 2 seasons when Hopkins said he wanted between $18-20 Million a year. Cooks just had a terrible season and now has a very worrying concussion history.

The absolute worst GM in the league, only masked by a weak division and propped up by an acceptance to sacrifice the future for right now. If the Texas had a rough start this season, I think the team will pack it in and go 5-11. Bill is not a motivator or even a man with a brain. The future is looking bright for Miami with their first 2 picks in 2021!

The Athletic's Aaron Reiss believes Kenny Stills is the likely "odd man out" among Texans wideouts.

The Texans signed Randall Cobb and traded the No. 57 overall pick in this year's draft for Brandin Cooks, joining them with Will Fuller to be Houston's new three-wide set following the trade of DeAndre Hopkins.  Stills is entering the final year of his contract with a $7 million cap number, all of which can be cleared with a release or trade.  Houston likely would have been better off just not signing Cobb and keeping Stills, but they're here now.  Trading Stills would likely only net a late-rounder.  He turns 28 next week.

Imagine releasing Kenny Stills after trading so much for him and Tunsil? Now imagine being forced to pay Tunsil $24 Million a year because you traded your immediate future for him?

Bill O'Brien is the worst GM in history.

Unpopular opinion, but I never liked Stills.  I always found him overrated by most Dolphin's fans.

He is what he is, a HR hitter. A solid deep threat but not much more than that.

I was actually excited when the Fins got him from the Saints, but I feel like he just never played up to his potential.  Or, (and this is quite possible) Drew Brew Brees and the Sean Payton offense have a way of making WRs look really good.
