Talking about Nike's shitty practices is whataboutism.

Companies are shitty.  But it doesn't mean that when they take a stand on something, that everything else they do has to fall in line with what's right.  It's not a reasonable standard.  Yes, Nike sucks.  But they suck AND they don't want to advertise on something that is a bad look for them and it will affect their bottom line.

I looked at threads from this site from 2006 and again from 2013 about this very topic.  It's funny how the public has come around.

It's one thing to have an outdated team name and not change it.  But when there's a firestorm around it and you still don't give a shit, even if it wasn't a racist intention before, it becomes a racist intention now.  So, the Redskins have to act or they're going to fall on that sword for no reason.  It is inevitable and has been inevitable since we first had this conversation in 2006.
