If BB accepts the award, I will cease rooting for the team for the remainder of his tenure.

The Dolphins are an obvious landing spot for you.

1) We already hate Bellichek.
2) You are already a moderator on a Dolphins site.
3) You will have a leg up on hating the Jets and the Bills.

Not gonna be AFCE.

My first thought was Bucs.  Then I remembered the hat and be kinda stupid to bolt over this and then root for Tom, although the hat wasn’t enough to cause me to bolt.

Maybe, Seahawks I am a fan of Shaquem Griffin.

Steelers have an owner I respect immensely.  But not sure if I can stomach that.

Falcons and Giants are also possible.

Can't be Giants.  Giants fans are Yankees fans, so if you're a Red Sox fan, you will be inadvertently cheering for Yankee fan enjoyment.

My mom was a Giants and (Brooklyn) Dodgers fan.  No problem vicariously rooting for the team of Jackie Roberson.

Even if Miami wasn’t AFCE my new home isn’t going to be someone who was a major fundraiser for Trump 2020.

Side note:

I earnestly don't know the answer, but why would Belichick get the national medal of freedom?  Is it just because he has promoted Trump personally?

I'm not against pop culture or sports figures getting the award: Jackie Robinson, Muhammad Ali....shit even Lebron James or Popavich or any of these guys who go above and beyond with the public service/charity/fundraising/social justice part.

I get that Belichick is a good coach, but he doesn't seem to meet the merit's criteria.

Steeler fans are pretty annoying tho.
You could always go with something like the Bengals .. or the Jags .. get in on the ground floor

There really is no concrete criteria.  Bill Cosby has one.  But Trump has made some really undeserving choices such as Rush Limbaugh.

See, like I even understand Bill Cosby.  Prior to the rapey-rapey, he had pretty wide significance.  He was a family-man comic through an era where there weren't positive black role models on TV.  He was a pioneer in that regard and a positive influence to minorities.

I can see an argument where you can say that his work had a result much greater than just entertainment.

The raping really does undercut that, though, doesn't it?

Good news I can keep my team.

There was some subtle comments implying he doesn’t approve of Trump’s behavior.  I was hoping BB would have issued a more direct condemnation, but BB tends to be pretty subtle.

Belichick directly turned it down.  Not only that, he gave a shout out to social justice and equality!

It's like he reached over and slapped Trump directly in the face.

The only more direct rebuke would have been for BB to say that he has immense appreciation for the value that immigrants bring to this country, and how much he respects our neighbors to the south.
