This is the exact type of game where previous coaches have come up empty and where if there's to be progress, Flores must not. Flores must find a way for the Dolphins to do what they need to do which is go out and beat an opponent they SHOULD beat. It doesn't have to be pretty mind you but make no mistake they need to win this game. Failing to do so would show that it's all a house of cards that can come crashing down when you least expect it. Good teams beat teams they should beat. Miami needs to win this game to continue the process of becoming a good team.

I agree, but I'll also add that winning the game probably isn't enough.  You need to control this game and beat this team on your terms.  You're almost a 2 digit favorite.  It's not enough to just play small-ball to eek out a 3 point win.

I'm happy with a win regardless.  Bad teams in divisional games win all the time, see Miami's record against the Patriots.  A blowout win would be nice though.

I don't really think wins and losses matter...of course you want to win, but we're not competing for anything, so what's the difference between 7-9 and 8-8.  You want to see a team that can play to its level.  Our level is a beatdown of the Jets.   If we don't play to that level, I'll be disappointed.

I'll take a win no matter what but we should decimate them. Worst coached team in the league and probably the least talented too. This is a legit 0-16 contender. Crush them, get to 3-3 and build on that.

I expected you to root for Jets to Win; thereby hurting their draft prospects and helping Miami's.

It's a divisional game, I just hope they win by a point.

Key is going to be social distancing.  Can't have this game canceled because of positive tests.

We got what we needed in Tua, now we win as many games as possible, even if we are 6-9 in Week 17, I want that 7th win. This is the part of the rebuild where we move up, no need to tear it down again.

Agreed, this needs to be resounding win this week.  Yes, I know it's a divisional game and things happen, but clearly the Jets are not a good team.  They have been manhandled by every team except for the Broncos on that Thurs game.

The Dolphins were beaten up front against the Patriots, but have been in other every game and been at least competitive.

I'm not asking for 30-35 pts, but this should be at min. 10-14 pt win.

We've put up two convincing wins and outside of Fitztragic showing up for Fitzmagic  this should not be any different.

I don't really think wins and losses matter...of course you want to win, but we're not competing for anything, so what's the difference between 7-9 and 8-8.  You want to see a team that can play to its level.  Our level is a beatdown of the Jets.   If we don't play to that level, I'll be disappointed.

What makes you think we aren't competing for anything?  Because people expect us to not be good until next year?  9-7 is probably a playoff birth with the expanded playoffs this season.  If we beat the Jets, we're going into the bye at .500.  Miami has the highest scoring differential in the AFCE.  People are crowing the Bills as AFCE champs, yet they only beat Miami by 3 and had to pick on a rookie all game to do it.  If Byron Jones plays, we win that game.  We lost to the Seahawks by one score.  Byron Jones plays, maybe we win that game too.  New England is the only team that thoroughly beat us and they only won by 11.  Byron Jones comes back and we beat the defending NFC champs by a large margin, even if they are depleted by injuries.  Good teams take advantage of that, and we did.

Dolphins are very much in the playoff hunt, and have that Cinderella story feeling to them.  There are fans from a lot of different teams propping up Miami as AFCE contenders right now.  It's easy to be jaded about Miami, but I'm telling you, these Dolphins are different.  Hot take:  Dolphins vs Bills week 17 to decide who wins the division

But a 15 year history says our QB will implode sooner or later. It's really hard to get excited based on knowing that.
