Yeah, Spider is right on this one.  You can find numerous articles how Sewell is the best prospect since Tunsil, and they are compared to each other a lot.

I haven't seen enough plays of any of the top receivers; but I'll say this: Miami needs to draft the player that is best at going up and fighting for the ball.  With a young Tua he is going to be chucking it up there, so Miami needs a guy that will go after the ball.

If the Falcons/Bengals take Chase and Pitts off the board, we will be getting offers at 6 from desperate teams who want to take whoever is left of Fields/Trey Lance. We could be taking Michah Parsons at 14 when all is said and done for all we know.

The funny thing is it may just be possible - plus my gut feel is we have a linebacker lined up for one of our firsts.

^^^ After trading back up to #6 I don't think there is any way Miami trades back down; they already gave up a future #1 to get back up - they would have to receive 2 or 3 future #1's.  The only way there isn't a player that Miami wants is if only one QB is taken in the five picks ahead of us.

That would be a nightmare scenario for MIA.  The best player of need would probably be Waddle at that point (who seems like a pretty big reach at #6), and it's hard to see any other team giving up anything of value to move up and pick a QB with Wilson, Fields, Lance, and Jones all still on the board.

And while this is certainly not a likely outcome, it's not outside the range of possibility.  JAX is definitely taking Lawrence, but the Jets are dumb enough to read their own press clippings and decide that Darnold has never had a target and still has big upside.  SF and ATL could reasonably think adding an elite weapon to their Super Bowl-quality QB, combined with a healthy season all-around, could push them over the top.  And obviously CIN has no need for a QB.

So then SF traded up to #3 to get who? Nah man ain't happening. You don't give up what they gave up to go get a WR when you could have got a pretty good one at #6 or even #12.

I was just thinking that let's say the Falcons also go QB and the Bengals surprise everyone and get Chase to reunite with Burrow, where do we put the guys we drafted last year if we go with Sewell? Obviously, he would start but Solomon did good at Guard last year, Hunt was good at RT the last part of the season and Jackson was a project and he still wasn't terrible. Would we demote Flowers to the bench? I can't imagine sitting Hunt after just one year and it was a solid performance for a rookie. Seems like we kick him back inside to his natural position and tell Flowers to piss off.

None of this probably happens though because I can't see Cincy letting him go by but you never know.

I would be very upset at the team if we traded down form 6 again for anything less than a historic draft haul or if by some terrible luck Chase/Pitts/Sewell are all off the board. This pick is a "gift" from the Texans, let us mess around with the 18th pick if they want. We are good at 6.

It is possible, I suppose... in the same vein as it is possible that the Earth explodes today and we all die in the fiery blast.

San Francisco did not trade 3 first rounders for an elite weapon...they did it for a QB.

That's not a crazy scenario. Now that the Panthers are also out of the running, really only leaves 2 or 3 possible suitors who would do that so the price wouldn't be insane. The Falcons themselves are split between the GM and HC whether to take a QB or add talent to help out right now. If the Broncos don't want Mac Jones, they can move up with them.

I can see Atlanta trading with a team for a QB, but Jones sacrificing valuable draft picks for a tight end when his team has lots of holes is......well, that's what Jerry Jones would do. It would make their offense very scary but scary enough to be a contender? I don't know.
