Final 2 years of contract are voided.

This is good for us, as much fun as it would be to see Waddle handle return duties, I think he is too valuable to do so and risk injury. Grant is very good at it so we kept him, have him as deep WR depth and lowered our cap number. Solid deal.

I agree.  No way I want Waddle returning kicks no matter how good he is at it.  Grant scares me sometimes but he is a threat to take a punt to the house pretty often.  And with a restructured contract, even better.

Grant Pros - can take a kickoff to the house, can take a punt to the house

Grant Cons - drops a lot of passes, has been known to muff punts

If he is taking passes this year, we are in trouble. He's like 7th on the depth chart. This should give him time to focus on catching punts.

I forgot, sometimes he likes to run 6 yards backwards on punt returns
