I wasn't trying to catch her.  I was seeing how long she took, so I would know how long I could take.  That's why it was clever on my part.  Or are you saying it's okay for some people at work to get longer breaks than others?

The other worker found it funny because she had noticed her doing the same thing, and thought it was clever of me.

In all seriousness, I think she was a bad employee and you were a bad employee and a dick.  She was a bad employee for intentionally staying longer on her break than she was entitled to.  You were a bad employee by also breaking the 15 minute rule about breaks and then you were a dick for confronting her in a passive aggressive fashion when that is not your job.  You are not her supervisor.  Her supervisor should confront her.  Not you.  If you are a supervisor and you confront her you are doing your job.  If your are her peer and you confront her then you are a dick who should mind your own business.  Or if you want to make a big deal out of it, tell her supervisor.  But it most certainly was a dick move to confront her about it.  And by doing the exact same thing that she did by overstaying your breaks, both of you were bad employees and depending on whether you clocked out or not, you were both potentially committing payroll fraud.

I can't believe I'm defending D4L, but...according to him he didn't confront her, he just had his timer ready to show her when she confronted him about where he was when they were busy.

Ah, okay, my apologies then.  I thought you had confronted her.  That doesn't leave you blameless, but I apologize for saying that you confronted her.   Thanks to Tenshot for straightening me out.  I have no problem calling people out, but I would never want to call D4L or anyone else out wrongly.

The only time I had official breaks was when I worked as a laborer for Disney and it was union. This meant we got 2 fifteen minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch. The times started when we got to where ever we were taking the break so a 15 minute break turned into 40 minutes and the half hour lunch was at least an hour or more depending on how long the lunch lines were. It was crazy but that's how they did it.
