My Shame of the Year goes to D4L for posting threads that are way off base and for running to start the SOTG threads before the game is over.

My Shame of the Year goes to coach Brian Flores for not getting players properly developed, especially the offensive line

Hard to give it to anyone else when the team seems unprepared to play for long periods of time.

My Shame of the Year is Steven Ross for firing Flores and basically giving a no confidence statement in regard to Tua going forward.  This may end up being the Shame of the Decade.

I just can't see how anyone is upset about Flores getting fired.

Dude is a .500 coach over multiple years with absolutely no sign of improvement, but he also just visibly looks lost, wastes timeouts because he doesn't know what's going on, and can't wait to punt on 4th and inches.  He coaches like he lives in a different era of the game.

I can see the argument that maybe he didn't deserve it, but now that he's gone -- y'all are sad about that???  In what universe do you see this guy ever winning a Super Bowl?

I have defended Tannehill as a good player.  I don't see those as the same.

For us, Tannehill was here 7 years and the money ultimately didn't work out for the future.  I don't think those are really comparable situations at all.  I totally understand why we moved on and I wish him the best.

Flores is bad.  I feel like any coach will bring the same quality to the table.  It's not like we're giving up someone who is potentially great, in my opinion.

Flores. Too many times I was frustrated by either his "protect the lead" mentality, his challenges or lack thereof, or the fact the team showed up and didn't look ready to play.

In the last 15 years the Dolphins have had 4 winning seasons, and two of those were under Flores the past two years during a rebuild.  That's why I'm upset.

We've been rebuilding three years and no playoffs. That's pretty much the blueprint to get fired in the NFL.

It’s not just the result.  We’re not any better at any aspect of the game and he’s not an impressive game day coach either.

And there’s not really an indication that we’d be better next year.  It’s not like we need more time to see what we have like it’s a rookie squad or something.
