Ultimately, it's pretty easy for owners to collectively remove one of their own. Just as with Donald Sterling, if every other NFL team refuses to schedule the Commanders, Snyder has no games to play but is still on the hook to pay out his players' contracts. I doubt scheduling exhibition games with the Iowa Barnstormers would be enough to pay the bills.
I don't think it's that simple. A season as short as the NFL'S doesn't lend itself to forfeiting one for something like this. Owners don't create the schedule.
