Ok, this might be too much offseason for me to handle. Dale Arnold, a local Boston sports reporter who broke the story of Brady to the Bucs is saying that he wouldn't be surprised if Brady plays for the Dolphins this year because Miami is "working on it".

Now remember, Brady and Sean Payton to Miami was heavily in motion before the Flores lawsuit dropped and that kind of screwed things up, no way those two wanted to be subpoenaed for text messages and all that. So, there was legitimate interest beforehand that was confirmed by numerous people already.

On top of that, why hasn't Gronk joined back up with the Bucs yet? I'm not saying this is going to happen, but who saw Tyreek Hill coming? This has a less than zero chance of happening when yesterday it was zero.

Fortunately for me, I stopped hating Brady years ago and admire him now. The transition to cheering for him is simple for me, probably a lot harder for you guys if the impossible occurs.

I would never watch another dolphins game and probably give up on the NFL altogether.

Tom is in my top 10 hated Americans, I despise that cheating MAGA filth and could never cheer for him.

There's no way Tom Brady becomes a Dolphin in 2022.   No way the Bucs will trade him.   And even if they did, what could the Dolphins offer?   They've got no draft capital left for this year.   Now 2023, that's a different story.

You answered your own question.

Tua and a 1st rounder. If Tom wants to go, they will accomodate him or he "retires" again. As great as he is, he isn't getting a Russel Wilson package at Age 45. This is just coming from one guy and it is very implossible but it's worth discussing until the rumor is killed.

I don't think there's a realistic shot of this.

I'm not sure it's a great deal for anyone.

Tom's got ...what?  1 year left?  2, maybe?

Are we right there yet ready to win now?  What's in it for Tom?  It just seems like such an odd fit.

It is and 99% it ain't happening for those reasons. However, as much as I want Tua to get a fair shot and prove people wrong, who would honestly say he is better than Brady right now? With Tom Brady, undisputed Superbowl favorites. Cap hell in 2024 at the latest but we sucked for 20 years, wouldn't you trade a Superbowl for a few seasons of shit? We've been shit forever already, it's just a return to the norm.

But yeah, 99% it ain't happening.

To me, it's too odd.   At least for 2022.   However, he only has one more year left on his contract.   The Dolphins would be wise to see how Tua does with this new cast.   If Tua doesn't pan out, sign Brady for only money in 2023 and draft his replacement in the first round.   You have two first round picks so you have the leverage to move up to grab Bryce Young or CJ Stroud.

UPDATED TO ADD:   He isn't coming here.   At least not this year.   Barry Jackson just tweeted it.   Dale Arnold is based out of Boston and I'm guessing he is looking for clickbait.

Tom Brady was trying to get himself to San Fran.  Why would he want to come to miami?

This would be the final straw. I would burn every piece of fins gear I have. The good thing is it would force my hand to finally wash my hands of this shitshow after 50 mostly soul crushing years.

Brady has played in six playoff games with Tampa Bay. His defense has set up eight touchdowns in those games with turnovers

I’m glad someone else feels the same way. I would never ever cheer for such a person as Brady. I physically cannot want anything good to happen to that “man”

According to Coach McDaniel Tua is the starter,  and Tom Brady rumors are "fake news" and hasn't been a conversation at all.

-Asked if Tua Tagovailoa is the unquestioned starter or if there will be an open competition, McDaniel didn’t answer directly but used the word backup to describe Teddy Bridgewater. He said when he was asked by reporters about backup quarterback at the NFL Combine, “I was discussing what Tua needs as a backup quarterback. I was literally describing Teddy Bridgewater.“

Both players have been explicitly explained their expectations. Moving forward, we’re very excited to have Teddy a part of the process.” McDaniel hopes the team and Bridgewater are “empowering Tua to be the player he be can.”

- Amid a Boston report that Tampa Bay quarterback Tom Brady could end up playing for the Dolphins via a trade this season, McDaniel called that “fake news” and said “that has not been a conversation at all.”

^^^

Nice to see a Head Coach put an end to rumors and be upfront with things for once.
