I know many companies do it but mine seems a bit exessive. Seems like someone is sitting around trying to find ways to fool us. For instance ... they will send you an email from another employee that you do not know. It will have an attachment of some sort either asking you to verify something or wanting your expert opinion. If you click it then it opens showing you have been hacked etc. We are a global company with tons of employees but it just seems a bit extreme.

Getting offended by something you see on the internet is like choosing to step in dog shite instead of walking around it.

Good idea from your employer.

I've never seen it from my employer, but I wish they would.  (Of course, I work in IT, so my perspective is that of the person who is responsible for cleaning up the mess after someone clicks on a genuine malicious e-mail and gets hacked.)

Since I own my own business and all emails are monitored by my tech guys, we don't send phishing emails to our employees.

I worked for a global company that did the same thing. I also worked as a contractor for a global company who probably should have. They got infected quite a bit.
