First they changed direction and started wanting to fund police, then some started wanting border security, Covid freedoms, and now the adminsitration is upping gas production. Who knows .. Democrats may run completely on the GOP platform for the mid terms ... hahaha Either way, I'm glad to see he (or whoever is in control) is actually trying to help us find some relief.

The administration is now set to start reselling leases for drilling on public lands -- putting 144,000 acres of lands up for lease in nine states as soon as Monday (today) -- as Biden faces massive pressure to boost oil production in the U.S. amid soaring prices partly from the war in Ukraine, what Biden calls "Putin's price hike." The Interior Department announced the move on Friday afternoon heading into the holiday weekend.

In general, I think we should put our efforts into reducing use, rather than drilling more.  Oil has better uses than being burned up.  But you can't do it all at once, so I'm not an expert enough to know if this is a good idea or not.

You know...it really comes off a dick when you roast your opposition for doing something you agree with.   Ask yourself why you're doing that.

I think companies should continue to have their employees work from home, if possible.  I miss empty streets and quiet towns

As I've said multiple times: owning the libs is always more important for conservatives than any policy objective.
They have no policies left.  It is simply dominance politics, at all times, for all topics.

Why? It isn't like they are saying ... you know, those others guys were right and we see how their ideas work out better. Instead you get them saying things like "So, look, Republicans are very good at staying on talking points of who says defund the police. But the truth is, they defunded the police. We funded crime intervention and a whole bunch of other things,”  -Cedric Richmond, a senior adviser to the president and director of the White House Office of Public Engagement, made the claim during a June 27 interview

Dave I think you are the most open minded liberal around here but you do have a blind spot to the arrogance of your associates.

I honestly laugh out loud to some of your posts but I'm sure it isn't like you take your words sereiously either.

Not sure why you would laugh... you said it yourself in so many words:

I don't think you realize how much conservatives felt attacked during the previous 8 years but to have an "in your face" rebuttal to it is appealing for many.

This is owning the libs in a nutshell: the only conservative priority is "in your face rebuttals" to the exclusion of all else.  Or as I've said previously:

Today's conservatism is the opposite of what liberals want today: updated daily.

News flash:. I don't like Biden.  Guy is to the right of every democratic president going back an entire century.  He has more in common with Liz Cheney than AOC. He got my vote because the other option was a Putin-wannabe.

This, I was having a chat with my next door neighbor before the election. I'm pretty far to the left, and he wore a maga hat until the whole injecting bleach thing. We both were talking about how disappointing Biden would be as president. He was afraid that the democrats would murder biden in his sleep and we'd have president Kamala (his words) and my disappointment was that Biden would govern to the right and at best pay lip service to any progressive economic priority. (which is what ended up happening)

I always knew Biden wasn't gonna be the liberal monster that the right claimed.  I never bought that for a second.

In general, I'm more pleased with him than I thought I'd be about a lot of things.  My frustrations are more with the Democrats, in general, as a party.

Dave, you're wrong.  Biden has absolutely been every bit the "liberal monster" conservatives feared.  Maybe not on policy, but policy was never the point.  As CF explained when asked about his objection to Obama's term:

Not liberal governance at all. It was identity political attacks. He made white people, police, military, and the Christian church villains by his words and inaction. He highlighted white supremacy to the fact people actually think that's a major issue in the black community when in fact most blacks will never come face to face with even one.
Biden has been even more Woke than Obama, so clearly he is even more of a monster.

Woke might be a poor choice of words for a guy that always looks like he's about to fall asleep.

Maybe Biden needs to have his doctor come out and declare him The Healthiest And Most Alert Man To Ever Hold The Presidency.
Then I'm sure you will easily be able to ignore your lying eyes.

Throwing barbs after Trump doesn't work.  What's next... are you gonna talk about Biden creepily putting his hands on the shoulders of a little girl, after your guy bragged about going into the dressing room of underage beauty pageant contestants?  Maybe you want to talk about Biden's mental acuity compared to Mr. Person Woman Man Camera TV?

Any person who supported Trump has no standing to criticize any other politician.  Your guy is the most immoral, the most corrupt, the most pathetic.  He lost to Sleepy Joe and then tried to overthrow the government.

I believe the appropriate words here are "Biden won, get over it."

Dude, they're not my associates.  I don't have a winning team.  I want things that are best for the country, but I am not beholden to what some politician says on some other subject.

You're the one who kinda acted like a jerk for no reason -- then you equate it to my blindspot for what some political advisor I've never heard of said about Black Lives Matter....like...what the fuck, man?

What do you want out of all this?  Like, why post this?
