Looking back at the playoffs

I was watching the dramatic end of the Dallas game against San Francisco.  I assumed that they did not get the spike off, but the gamebook says they did.

Dallas faced much criticism for this decision, but in hindsight, I think a fake spike might have worked in that situation. Pretend to be frustrated, and have a receiver run to the end zone
