I've heard it spoken about on the radio but just saw this from Dave Hyde. Hoping it is true and the Brady/BB divide gets even bigger. As Brady pushes towards another Super Bowl and BB goes under .500. For whatever reason I stomach Brady so much more than BB.

A month from the Sept. 11 opener at Hard Rock Stadium, let’s look in at how the New England offense looks with Matt Patricia and Joe Judge in some undefined roles of running it. Take this from long-time Patriots reporter Greg Bedard:

“Arguably worst start of offense to camp,’' he tweeted from Monday’s practice before listing the plays: False start 77, Stuff Incomplete, Stuff at handoff, Sack Flat 1yd would have been blown up if live, Incomplete, Sack on a waggle 1 yard pass blown up by Wilson, Stuff 5 yards flat to Meyers.”

And ESPN’s Mike Reiss: “A thought after watching the Patriots offense look efficient in 7-on-7 but struggle notably in multiple 11-on-11s: Might be time to give (legendary Patriots offensive line coach) Dante Scarnecchia a call for an independent evaluation.”

Here’s the counter-read to this: The Patriots defense must be great?

There is always that element of good news/bad news for every single camp report when teams are practicing against themselves.

The bad news is your QB threw 7 interceptions in practice, the good news is your secondary caught 7 interceptions in practice.

The good news is your nose tackle is a monster getting to the QB 6 times, the bad news is the o-line was ineffective.

It is always hard to know if reports like this mean doom for the season, maybe the offense sucks or maybe the defense is just really really good. The only thing we know for sure is the NEP defense is better then than the NEP offense at this point in training camp.

^^^^ I don't disagree with anything you said. Last year their defense was pretty decent right up 'til Buffalo exposed them. It wouldn't be out of the realm for them to be good but it does sound like they are having issues getting it together on offense.

Today The Atlantic is reporting that the offense is struggling badly and the point of concern will soon be reached. No running game, no blocking, incompletions galore and they aren't crediting the defense. Looks like hiring a DC to handle your offense was Bill being too smart for his own good.

McDaniel looks to be missed already.

Maybe.

Every single year for over 20 years every single pre-season the same people predict this is the year of New England's demise.  One year they will be right.  Will it be this year?  Will it be next year?  Will it be in a decade from now?  Who knows.  But it seems more like a Martingale gambling system than an actual prediction at this point.

Predicting their demise and reporting how poorly things are actually going are two different things.

Yeah, this is very different. Old reports about were how Brady can't go forever, this is about them actively being shit the whole offseason.

I hope this pans out into an awful year but never forget that the Patriots aren’t a football team they are a criminal enterprise so they’ll probably win the SB ( through cheating )
