The flagged helmet-to-helmet hit late in the game has cost Waddle a trip in the Concussion Protocol.

There is reason to be hopeful that this is one of the quick ones, with Waddle appearing to suffer no ill effects after the game.

In Mike's Monday media availability, he stated that Waddle had already started progressing in the protocol.

I seriously doubt they let him play this week.   Seeing as the Broncos are 0-2 and starting to get in panic mode, this would be a good week to let him rest.   The Broncos defense is dog shit and Tua should have no problem torching that secondary, even in Waddle's absence.

They will need Waddle bad for Buffalo as he does a lot people don't notice when Hill catches a pass.  Hill gets an amazing amount of YAC due to Waddle taking out defenders in the area.

Waddle is a DNP for today's practice.

Having Waddle on the field definitely helps Hill, but they can win without him.  Plenty of other players with good hands to catch the ball.

Concussions are tricky and can linger a long time. Let him miss this game because it's easier (hopefully) and see if he is 100% for Buffalo. NFL watches us like a hawk with these things so it's the smart play.

We got guys who can step up.

There are no easy games in the NFL.

Waddle practiced Friday (limited participation). Saturday is only a walk-through, but he can still be cleared to play and is currently "only" listed as questionable.

The "limited participation" designation is, unfortunately, quite broad and is applied to anyone who participates (even if just in individual drills), but gets "less than 100 percent of his normal repetitions during either the individual or team portion of practice". It would be quite valuable to know if he participated in contact drills. If so, that would put him at stage 5 of 5 and he would almost certainly clear the protocol.

You sure?  Sunday looked pretty easy, dropping a 70 bomb on those Denver nerds.

Waddle was a full participant in today's practice. Unless he experiences a relapse, he should clear protocol tomorrow.
