Here's why:

The Ravens play the 49ers next week

The Ravens also play the Steelers week 18.

We want the Ravens to have something to play for against the Steelers.

If the Chiefs win out and the Ravens lose the 49ers, the Ravens will need to beat the Steelers to clinch the number one seed.
