I hate to say this, but this feels like, historically, the kind of game we lose.  I don't expect us to pull it out and I fear the worst -- that everyone starts to turn on the team over this loss.

Dave, any loss this year that comes before the divisional round of the playoffs is going to bring out the full chorus of "Fire everyone, blow up the team."  You have to ignore those guys.

I despise predicting scores, but I do think MIA will pull this one off.

I understand.

The narrative on places like Reddit is very frustrating and I find the fans to be younger and more naive and trying to fire their way into success.

You see us play the Jets, be a 5.5 point favorite, win by 6 through adversity, and people are still pissed off about it.

Many "fans" don't understand the reality of the situation and are pretty immature when it comes to sports. For instance, the Jets are losing close games. They beat the Texans and lost by 6 to the Vikings, 1 to the Colts,  1 to the Broncos, 3 to the Bills, and 5 to the Seahawks. It isn't like they are trash although fans love to throw that word around. For the most part there isn't a ton of difference between the good and bad teams. That's what they say on any given Sunday because all teams have a chance.

With that said I don't have a good feeling for this game. Like Dave said this is the kind of game we fail at. This probably means we will blow them out but I don't see it happening. History says we are do for more bad stuff to happen.

I always have a bad feeling when playing the Texans, it goes back to when they first entered the league and everyone was beating them, except the Dolphins.  With that said I'm going with....

Dolphins 27
Texans 24

It's also a small sample size, but we've never beaten Houston on the road.

I'm looking forward to finally seeing my first full Dolphins game for the season (and not just the NFL highlights package).

Pretty much everything is riding on this game - win and we're a chance, lose it and either the Broncos or Colts (who has the tiebreaker on us and an equally soft draw to finish) will stay ahead of us.

A fit Armstead, and an effective Ramsey to keep Nico Collins impact to a minimum will go a long way to winning the game. Unfortunately based on last week's performance, I think that's not likely.
