Failed Jets QB - check
7th round draft pick - check.

When you have an article saying that our 7th round draft pick is a good chance to beat out our second stringer on a good chunk of guaranteed money... where does that sound strangely familiar?

We are still all in on Tua being healthy this season, and hoping like hell the most action both these guys see is holding a clipboard gameday.
Oh please. You're being much too hard on the Dolphins, especially the QB room. If you think Wilson and White have anything in common other than both being QB's, you don't watch football. Wilson has more arm talent than White has in his entire body. Wilson did about as well with the Jets that Aaron Rogers did considering the WR's he had. While no one will mistake Rogers for the same QB he was a few years ago, he's still a good QB, but everyone looks average in a Jets uniform. I'm not saying that Wilson is gonna be great, but he's a capable starter. White has never been anything more than a backup his entire career and not really even a good one at that. The jury is still out on Ewers. I really have no idea what makes anyone think he can surpass Wilson on the depth chart though, he's a project at best. He might be able to develop into a decent starting QB in the NFL, but that's probably a year or 2 down the road at best, but I'd rather see him start for the Dolphins than White. At least Ewers has the look of an NFL QB if not the playing ability yet, I honestly don't know what anyone saw in White. I had high hopes for him when we first got him, but it didn't take long for those hopes to be dashed as soon as I saw him play.

Arguably the best QB you have had since Marino was a QB you picked up after the Jets cut him.  He was your only significant upgrade and you went from last place in the league to winning the division.

There's no comparision with Chad here. When fit he was already a proven commodity at the Jets, he led them to the playoffs a couple of times and was comeback player of the year. At times he was the NFL's passing rater leader, and completion percentage leader. We bought him in as a starting QB and to tutor Henne.

Wilson was an outright failure at the Jets. He held a clipboard all last season as a third stringer for the Broncos. He's been brought here specifically as a backup option, nothing more.

Even when fit, his arm was a proven noodle...he couldn't throw the ball 40 yards if he was standing on the roof of a very tall building.

Yeah, but he made completions with amazing accuracy, and he won games... enough to make two playoff series, even with his arm reduced to a noodle.

Arm strength isn't everything. Unfortunately for Wilson, so far it's about the only thing he has going for him.

Chad Pennington benefitted mightily from having Ricky and Ronnie and the Wildcat. No way he takes us anywhere without that sensational running game. Once people caught up to the wildcat, Pennington wasn't very effective. I'm not  a Pennington hater but it always seems like he gets way more credit than deserved. We were nothing before the Wildcat that season. In fact, we were 0-2, Penny had like a 50% passing completion rate, and we were averaging 12 points a game. I will say that players really supported the guy and called him one of the best leaders they have played with so there is that.

When you dink and doink your way down the field with runs and short passes, your accuracy is going to look that much better.
