I thought that our special teams looked good all around. Punting, kicking + related coverage....also kick returns. Looked great.
Same issues with running on 1 and 2 yards to gain. ...we just get stopped when they know we're gonna run.
I can't remember a Dolphins team that didn't start the year jumping offsides or shifting or some bullshit. We did that today at some crucial times.
Zach Wilson looked OK when he could deliver the ball, but he just took stupid sack after stupid sack when he needed to get rid of the ball...basically cost us points. He was a bit bone-headed and frustrating to watch.
Ewer throws hard, but your guess is as good as mine as to where it's gonna go.
I think one of our new receivers (maybe it was Washington) looked pretty good.
Overall, mixed bag -- result doesn't matter, but I was kind of perplexed as to how to play that game out with the best chance to win.

I liked how decisive Ewers was. He didn't connect a lot, but at least he wasn't afraid to throw the ball, unlike Wilson who was responsible for all 4 sacks as he just stood there scanning the field while the pocket collapsed. He looked Ok when someone was wide open but if no one was open he just stood there and took the sack. Ewers will need some time with the players to get on the same page with them. Wilson has been in the league and has too many games under his belt to not have an internal clock then tells him to get rid of the ball or throw someone open. Those 2 fumbles by Ewers are bad, but he's still learning, so I'm not going to get too worried about that. I saw some articles about how he might not make the 53 man roster. Please. The guy has already made the team, Miami HAS to keep 3 QB's on the roster as Tua is one scramble away from being on the sidelines at any given moment.
I didn't like the way that Jaylen Wright ran the ball, he doesn't have good vision. He's terrific when it breaks open for him, but more often than not he's putting on the brakes because he doesn't see the hole developing, thought both Mattison and Gordon looked better on short yardage runs.
It's just one game and hard to tell much from a preaseason game but I thought Miami played decent enough especially in the trenches which is what I was looking for.
