Easy to spot Tua for the dishonor today - those two INTs were just so far off the target you really have to wonder WTF was he thinking?

The second wasn't off target. There was just a defender standing right there that Tua never saw. Horrible decision, no question.

Who was the target?

I've looked at that footage numerous times, and the only one I could see as a genuine chance was Washington - and Tua threw it about three body lengths behind where he lead.

You made me go watch the play again. Shame on you.

Had the defender not been there, it would have hit Washington right in the hands. Watching the play from the side angle, I have no doubts. Washington is tracking the ball and is moving slowly across compared to the ball's forward movement.

Sorry I made you watch it again.

This is where I got the impression the ball was thrown behind Washington, from when the INT stuck. He had a huge amount of momentum going across the field.

It was still a very poor decision and poor pass. I reckon Washington may have had his work cut out to complete the pass if it got to him, as it would have ended up well behind him.

Inexcusably bad decision to throw the ball. No question.

When I put my thumb over the defender and play the clip, it looks like a completion. When I frame-step and try to estimate ball trajectory and player trajectory, it looks like a completion. When I look at Washington, it looks like he is tracking the ball. If he's just running across and NOT adjusting his speed to track the ball, he needs some serious coaching.

Whatever, doesn't really matter. What a crappy play and what a crappy game.
