Harbaugh wouldn't come to the Dolphins. If the Dolphins fire their HC, they are probably well down the list to get a top HC like Harbaugh. I wouldn't be surprised if he took a year or 2 off from coaching.

I am firmly against swapping McDaniel for Harbaugh.  It seems like a lateral move, at best.

Stefanski and Harbaugh are both great head coaches.  Teams will be fighting to get these two.  I think McDaniel was promised another year back when Grier was fired, that's probably why he was giving so many young players playing time.

But it would be great if Stefanski joined Miami as the Offensive Coordinator.

I meant to say one ring and got cheated out of a second.   The 2011 AFC Championship game.  Prior to that missed field goal, Joe Flacco completed a pass to Lee Evans for the winning TD.   Evans caught the ball in the end zone, put his feet on the ground, turned and then Sterling Moore came and knocked the ball out of his hands.  The officials ruled the pass incomplete.

^^^ And you call that "getting cheated out of a Super Bowl."

So, basically, every team that loses a game gets cheated.

That was a touchdown catch.   He had possession of the ball in the endzone and his feet on the ground.

The problem is, the TV networks and the officials were in bed with Brady/Belichick at the time.

You don't get a Super Bowl ring for winning the conference championship.

Given that the team he lost to didn't even win the Super Bowl, I fail to see how a bad call in the AFCCG means Harbaugh was "cheated out of a ring."

Because the 2011 Ravens would've run roughshod over the 2011 Giants in the Super Bowl.   The Patriots did not match up well against the Giants.  The Ravens did.

This conversation is stupid.  We can't be crediting wins to games that coaches didn't even play in...what the hell are we talking about here?  This is a circular convo.

Aw, come on, Dave.. I was just about to join this crystal ball analytics conversation and declare (vigorously) that Kyle Shanahan should have 8 Super Bowl rings at this point.  I was even going to get D4L to swear on a stack of bibles that it was the referees that screwed them...

...or was it the kicker?

I forget.

The Lions had a Super Bowl ring stolen from them in 2014 when the refs picked up the Pass Interference flag in their wild card playoff game against the Cowboys.
Had they won that game, they certainly would have gone on to beat the rest of the teams in the playoffs.
