Dexter??

Does anyone here like that show? I freaking love it, and I'm watching the series for the 4th time. I'm midway through season 8 with my lady, who had never seen it before, and she loves it too. I told her she'd have to watch the whole series before she watched Resurrection. lol But, she is totally into it.

Season 8 is my least favorite season, followed by season 6. I actually liked New Blood, and Season 7. And, I loved Resurrection.

I think that Dexter is very hot and cold.  I love certain seasons a lot and I merely like other seasons.  I think that they really botched the ending of Dexter-proper on its original run.  ...not because they didn't do what I wanted (which they didn't), but because they specifically set up characters and circumstances that they abandoned.  The choices for the ending didn't line up with what the show put in the work to do.

I loved the first season, the stuff with Trinity, and a few other seasons as well.

I liked that each season was about a singular theme: faith, family, love, mentorship, etc.  It got away from that by the end and things got messy.

Good show, overall, with quite a few rough patches.

Ressurection could be the best of the series. I mean, the orginally Dexter was really good but they hit it out of the park with the latest in my opionion. I liked Original Sin as well and am sorry they canceled it. Fantastic casting on that show.  New Blood was the least of the series to me.

Dexter Resurrection has an all star cast including Peter Dinklage, Uma Thurman, Neil Patrick Harris, and Eric Stonestreet. It was done well. It's worth checking out.

I actually liked New Blood. But Resurrection was amazing. I liked how dark and gritty it was as opposed to the original. I thought Original Sin was great, but the girl who played Deb looked nothing like her. But if you close your eyes, its her.
