Josh Allen should get the MVP this year. He's been the best QB in the league for 2 years straight now. Without Allen Buffalo is an average team. Change my mind.

He is not the best QB in the league.  Heck he might not even be the best QB in his division, Drake Maye has better numbers than him.

He's got literally no receiving corps to work with this year.  His best pass catchers are his tight ends and James Cook.

Not when you consider his rushing numbers. Allen is the best dual threat QB in the league. Maye is having a great year and his time will come, but this year Allen is the better QB. New England is probably the better team, balanced on both sides of the ball.

This isn't news. I think we had the same discussion last year. If it wasn't here it was with my real world friends.

You could say many teams are average without their QB, for instance Kansas City and Baltimore are average without their QB's.

But losing Josh would have a larger impact on the team. Without him, they have nothing. I agree with Pappy on this one.

You don't actually know that because (unlike, say, BAL) you haven't seen BUF forced to play without Josh Allen.

Last season, BUF with Josh Allen (voluntarily) on the bench lost on the road to NE 23-16.
This season, BUF with Josh Allen under center lost at home to NE 23-20.
That is not particularly compelling proof of how bad the Bills would be without Josh Allen.

If you assume that NE and Buffalo last year and this year are exactly the same which I don't. Besides it wasn't just Allen that sat the bench that day it was most of Buffalo's starters. Maye didn't play that game either. Can't really tell anything from that game.

I wouldn't say KC is average without Mahomes, they have a very good defense year in and year out. They wouldn't be perrenial SuperBowl contenders, but I still think they would be pretty good. Prior to this year I would have said the same for Baltimore for the most part, but I don't see their defense as being quite as good this year as previously.

Yes, I agree that any team is not as good without their starting QB but I think this year in particular Allen is basically carrying that team.

True.  I live in upstate NY so I hear the complaints from Bills Fans.  They definitely are not as good a team talent wise this year as prior years.  The owners of the Bills, The Pegula's, aren't great owners and are more in it for the money.  The only positive thing they've done/did when they bought the team was to keep it in the Buffalo area.  They could use a good GM, Chris Grier would be an upgrade for them.
