Dolphins hiring Jeff Hafley

I don't think that's necessarily the case.  It's entirely possible the hires were made such that 1) the Dolphins first hired one of the best up and coming executives available at GM, and 2) he in turn hired one of the coordinators widely thought to be ready for a head coaching position, and one with whom he already has a good working relationship, given the importance that relationship (GM and head coach) will have with the Dolphins.

Do you really think that will happen with Ross signing the checks?

The interview with Joe Rose sounded pretty promising, although he was saying really just what needed to be said...

There will be accountability withing the team, or players will be punished, and if that doesn't work, shown the door, no matter who they are. He has a plan with the GM to build through the draft, because there's realistically no other way given our cap situation. There's a definite plan as far as recruiting the coaches and staff we need to move forward to achieve a team culture (that's the opposite to the toxic mess ours seems to regularly end up as). All up, he sounds positive, but realizes there's a lot of work to do.

We are going to be running a similar offense as he just promoted Bobby Slowik, our passing game coordinator, to Offensive Coordinator. He comes from the Shanahan tree as well. He also had success with rookie CJ Stroud in Texas as his OC. Philly also interviewed him for OC. I wonder if we will be retaining Butch Barry as well?
