If Seattle had had a new GM and a new HC and they both came from GB, where Flynn came from, then Flynn definitely would have started over Wilson.
SEA had the same GM and HC that went out and signed Flynn in the first place.  It's the equivalent of MIA drafting a QB next month and starting him over Willis.

And I disagree with you, Ewers did show something; you're just still crying over the fact he took your boy Tua's spot.
Tua isn't even on the team anymore and he's still being scapegoated for Quinn Ewers not getting his due respect.  This well isn't going to run dry any time soon!

And here's your proof that Ewers won't be given a fair shot at QB. I'm sure that Sullivan and Hafley also checked with Ewers before dealing Waddle.

more evidence that the Dolphins are all in on Willis

Look, I get it. I'm not saying that the Dolphins should have talked with Ewers about dealing Waddle, I'm just saying that you don't give a QB $45 million and not start him, especially when the previous regime brought in the only other QB on the team, it's ridiculous to even pretend that's the case. And I wouldn't have any problem with that if they just would have come out and said from the beginning that Willis was the QB they were after and not did the whole song and dance routine about a QB competition and developing from the draft, because that's not what happened and was never going to happen. I mean it's a good story and all to tell your kids before you tuck them in at night, but I'm an adult, I don't need to hear fairy tales. I'd prefer that you were just honest with me and told me that's what you were going to do from the beginning because that clearly was the plan all along. No one is denying that now. It's not the right way to build trust with your fan base. You said all the right things when you were hired about building from the inside out, about building from the draft about building it the right way and then you have completely done just the opposite in reality and took a flyer on a QB you believe could be a franchise player. That would be fine if he WAS a franchise player and not just a player that you HOPE is a franchise player. That's what Grier did and actually Grier had MUCH better reasons to think that Tua was a franchise player than you had to believe that Willis will be.

How about you just start being honest and save the fairy tales for your kids.

Again: Ewers was a 7th round pick.  In the 4 games he played last season, he put up a worse passer rating and worse QBR than Tua, who just got cut.  If Brock Purdy had come in and put up a worse passer rating and worse QBR than Jimmy G and Trey Lance, he would not have been the starting QB of the 49ers the following season.

Ewers had his chance.  He'll probably get another one (via injury to a starter); most NFL QBs do.  And if he doesn't play significantly better in that second chance, he'll never be more than a clipboard caddy.  That's the way the league works.

Clipboard caddys can make $5 million a year and only have to play in three games a year unless someone gets hurt.  Pretty good work if you can get it
