Just back from the announcement - Eric Mangini has resigned as defensive guru of the Pats and has taken the HC position at the J-E-T-S JETS!JETS!JETS!

Not good.  Mangini looks to be one of those young, on-the-rise coaches.

I'm just glad they weren't stupid enought to hire Jim Haslett or Mike Tice.  Why hire 2 total BUM coaches who just sucked at their previous job?

Mangini will have fun with the defensive talent the Jets have.  Vilma, Abraham, Robertson.  That's a nice, young base on which to build.  Now, if he could undo that Santana Moss for Laveranues Coles trade...I remember talking to a Jets fan that lives in my neighborhood about that trade just before the season.  His eyes got all happy-misty because Coles was coming back and "bust" Moss was on his way out.  I dare say I laughed at him right then and there...
