WHAAAAA???

I have TiVo desktop running on my computer, so I can download my TiVo recordings to a folder on my computer.  It saves files in a specified folder with a .tivo extension.

I'd like to find some software that I can used to edit the files to cut out the commercials and then author a DVD containing many episodes (files) on the disk, and make a menu/index page.

I know this software exists.  Maybe even as shareware/freeware.

Any suggestions?

Wasn't the .TiVo file format invented specifically to prohibit such editing?

I mean, if they wanted you to be able to edit your recorded programs, they could have had it just save in MPEG or AVI format.

Maybe - That's what I'm trying to find out.  There's gotta be some program out there that can convert it, then.

Anything you wanna do computer wise, someone has invented software to do it.  You just gotta find it.
