I didn't think the Miami Dolphins could top themselves when they hired Mike "you're full of" Mularkey to their coaching staff....until today when they signed a head-coach who simply could not get it done, and saw his defense and team in Houston actually regress the last couple of years there.

Good job, Nick Saban.  Hire a person to run your defense that just went 2-14.

He was damn good as a DC, and he took the Panthers to the NFC Championship as their head coach, and only their second year of existance. He also did a hell of a job in Pittsburgh as their DC. Also, he did a heck of a job as DC in Jacksonville.

I say damn good hire.

I love the choice (and the catchy musical thread title)...Dom's defensive coaching skills are substantial, and he should mesh well with Nick to make Miami's defense even stronger.

Actually, Dom isn't going to be credited as the Defensive Coordinator.  His title is "Special Assistant to the Head Coach."  I don't know if that just means he hangs out under Saban's desk or what.

Ouch, if that's the case then that means Saban will retire after this season and Capers will be our new head coach!!!!!!  Roll Eyes
