I was scanning the list of People up for the HOF,because Phish mentioned 3 bills in another thread.(I thought maybe Andre Reed was already in the HOF)

The preliminary list had a few Dolphins on it...
Both the Marks brothers
Mark Duper
Mark Clayton
Irving Fryar
Bob Kuechenberg (finalist in 2005)
John Offerdahl
Reggie Roby

Admin
George Young (finalist in 2005)

I was more surprised about the canidates that were considered, that aren't already in the HOF.

I don't see any of these players getting in.  Kuech seems like a long shot to me.  Fryar is really a Pat isn't he?  Only 3 or his 14 years came in a Dolphin's uniform.  As much as I love the Marks brothers, I don't think they have the career numbers.

Young may get in........but........who cares?

I'd love to see Roby get in the hall of fame.  It's kind of a slap in the face to special teams, not to recognize the best of the best.

Consensus seems to be that Ray Guy will be the first punter to go in.

If not for having his career cut short by injury, Offerdahl would be a serious candidate.  Anyone remember him putting John Hannah on his butt on MNF?

I got a #56 jersey because of Offerdahl. That guy was my favorite linebacker (nothing against Zach).

Offerdahl and Bob Baumhower would be locks if it weren't for injuries cutting their careers short.  At least it didn't keep Dwight out.

That's because at the time, Dwight was one of the best centers in the game.  I remember the scuffle he got into on the Bears sidelines right before the half of the 1985 Bears-Dolphins game.  He also MANHANDLED the 'Fridge all night long!!
