No worries, AZ... I just thought it was kind of crazy to have half the league miss the draft. Again, I am pretty stoked about the squad I drafted, so no complaints.

I dunno.  Whoever drafted my team might have done a little TOO good a job.  I'm pleased with my squad.  Was that you, Stroke, that put Cain on my roster?

I had zero control over any player you drafted, Maine...the computer did all the work. I do like Matt Cain though...and if he had slid to his normal draft slot, I might have added him to my bench in the late rounds. There really are only a few guys on your squad that I'm not drafting to a lot of squads. Belliard, Garrett Anderson, Taveras... Other than those guys, I like your squad. I was a little pissed when the comp gave you Peavy, but I was happy enough that Utley fell to the end of rd 3 that I didn't dwell too much on losing my favorite Padre.

Besides...I figured if I reeeeeally wanted to make a trade offer for the #2 SP on my list (Peavy), then having the #1 SP on my list (J-Santana) probably means I have a shot.

I'll swap you Peavy for Santana.

I thought the Cain thing was weird, but I remember you saying you wanted to learn more about prospects.  I was starting to get all proud of you thinking you put him on my roster to flex your new found prospects knowledge.

...I'm crushed now knowing it was the pc...

I'll bet ya would! One goes mid-late first round and the other goes early-mid third round. I'd need to get a little kicker on a second trade slot to make a Peavy-Santana trade work. I don't have any problem dealing Johan...I just need to get his relative value.

It's a long season...I can definitely see some negotiations happening.

LOL...I do know all about Cain, and have him on a half-dozen rosters as a high-ceiling late-round pitching prospect. so your pride in my prospect knowlege base isn't totally misplaced. ;-) I ended up grabbing Daniel Cabrera after the comp gave ya Cain. I do like Cain...but I like Cabrera under new PC Mazzone as well.

I was thinking about Bedard too, but not sure if he's completely healed.  He hasn't looked good this spring.

I love all of your OFs, and both of your shortstops. I do think that, while Cantu puts up good numbers compared to the average player at his "regular" position (2B), I don't think he'll give you the same comparable performance levels at his "other" position (3B) when you put him up against the other 3Bs in the league.

I think the area that could possibly hurt ya the most is gonna be your bullpen. Armando is a walking injury waiting to happen, Borowski could easily lose the marlins closers job to Travis Bowyer, and Fuentes...well, he does still pitch in Colorado, where gravity is optional.

I hear ya...though I still like Bedard as well.

I just came away totally impressed the other day after watching Cabrera throw 4 innings of no-hit ball in the WBC. He was notching 97-98 with sick movement.

Thanks Stroke, I will be looking into the waivers to see about upgrading the pen. Also maybe picking up another 3rd baseman as a precaution.

I have 3Bs on the trade block, should you decide that the ones on the waiver heap aren't quite up to snuff.  Cheesy
