Mine:

The classroom is a learning situation and I will learn to treat it as such by behaving in a polite and responsible manner.

UGH! In 9th grade, I got a double whammy. My history teacher came up with that RUN-ON sentence and the dean liked it enough to steal it. I must have written that 100,000 times that year. I'm not exaggerating! Sad

I got a good memory lane laugh when I saw Lil_B's mini-hijack in the other thread. While nowhere near the 100,000 repetitions that Frimp's sadistic middle school torture...er...teacher nailed him with, the one time I was forced to write a repetitive sentence on the blackboard as punishment was at Lake Montezuma Elementary, outside of Camp Verde (for AZ's reference<g>)...a young third grade hayseed Sunstroke was forced to write the following sentence on the board 500 times:

"I will not bring my snake to school."

I had alot of different ones,as I'm reminded...Some becuase of my Brother..These are something around what they said....

I will learn to use my indoor voice in the cafeteria

I will not curse on school campus

(after getting a plastic Whiffle baseball bat fight)
I will use school ahletic equipment, only as it is intended

I will not smoke on school campus

(I got this one after telling my Jr. high prinipal,For someone who's supposed to be a big shot fisherman, you sure suck at it)

I will speak to my teachers, and principals with proper respect.

OMG. I forgot about writing sentences in schoool.  I was the queen of:

"I will not talk in class."
"I will not chew gum in class unless I brought enough for everybody."  (Which I did and got dentention.)

There were a few others, but I don't remember them. My parents would always have to sign them. Ha.

My sixth grade teacher came up with this one, and it fit no matter what you did:

"If I were doing what I should have been doing instead of doing what I was doing, I wouldn't be doing what I am doing now"

Self discipline makes punishment unnecessary.

Bio teacher in 9th grade made the whole class right that a few hundred times because we were talking too much.

Oooh, hand cramps!

You got that right.  By the end of the school year, my arm was about to fall off.  Plus, he gave it out so many times (at least to my class), that rumor has it he took them all home and walpapered his bedroom walls over the summer.  I would've loved to see that one.

Lake Montezuma Elementary, outside of Camp Verde (for AZ's reference<g>)

I love Camp Verde. I had my first Javelina hunt there!!!!

Back on topic.....

My sophomore year in HS a buddy (Dan Johnson) & I used to ditch 5th hour (1st class after lunch) at least once a week if not more. I mean who wouldn't want a 2 hour lunch especially since we spent most of our time Playing NBA Jam at the local pizza place just down the street. Well while walking back across the football field to make it to 6th hour I heard a somewhat familiar voice saying..."Hey, what are you doing?" To which Dan replies..."Isn't that your mom?" Oh shit I thought, looking over into the parking lot and seeing that all too familiar white Chevy Blazer. She asked us to come over to the car...Dan's response....."Fuck this I'm outta here" (not smart as our mothers talked quite often). I walk over sheepishly and made up some bull shit story about not making it back in time because our food was late and rather than going to "sweep" (basically if you did not make it to the class by the time the bell rang you had to go down to the cafeteria and have study hall during that time which was boring as hell) we decided to just not go back to school until 6th hour. She knew I was lying laughed at me and told me to get my scrawny white ass into the car. I proceeded to do just that. She parked, walked over to the passenger side, opened the door, grabbed me by my ear and marched me into the principal's office and told them that she just caught me ditching. I got 2 days of ISS (In School Suspension) and she proceeded to march my ass to my 6th hour class in the same fashion. By the time 6th hour had let out practically the whole school had learned of this little slice of heaven that I experienced and I was the laughing stock of the school for some weeks to follow. Needless to say I did not miss so much as 1 minute of class from then until my senior year when I just didn't care anymore and I ditched quite often.
